T-Shirt Factory by Beams T

Comments (0)

Over the years, the T–shirt has become one of the most affordable ways to represent who you are, more specifically, your personal beliefs whether social, musical or political. However, most recently it has become an artist’s canvas that can be mass produced very quickly and distributed to a large audience. Now it is the artists creativity that differentiates the best t-shirts from the average ones. If you guys are looking for some ideas for t-shirts look no further than a book called T-Shirt Factory by Beams T. Although there are plenty of designs that FreshIndustrie.com would not carry, there are plenty that would fit our design criteria. (I wish some of them had not been discontinued).

People Like Us - Funk and Fury

Ronald AKA RA909 is a freelance designer type person who resides all the way over in southern California…he likes to draw & design things that look sort of morbid but with a funky pop-arty touch. I guess you can say this one really resembles some of the Beautiful Decay tees that we carry on our site. People Like Us lucked out and they were able to get RA to throw some of his designs on a tee so go to their site through the link below and check it out.

Dissizit brings back the ol’ school

Comments (0)

Dissizit has taken a concept that has been used by some t-shirt companies for musicians and designed a tee that is fitting for this time of year. The Boston Celtics versus the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals revives vivid memories of the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks rivalry from the 90’s or the Boston Celtics, Lakers rivalry from the 80’s. Now you can represent the old school rivalries with some of these new tees by Dissizit.

Just Another Rich Kid Featured in Complex

Comments (0)

So I was going through the newest issue of Complex magazine and I came across a t-shirt feature for Just Another Rich Kid’s “Live Fast Die Young” tee and I found it pretty interesting since I was able to meet the owner and designer just last week. The dude is pretty cool and his t-shirts are even cooler so if you don’t get a chance to pick up one of his tees, at least go pick up Complex and maybe you’ll find a tee that you love.

We’ve slashed prices on the Just Another Rich Kid tees.

The design and fabric on these tees are ridiculous so definitely check it out especially for all you music heads out there.

Zero Friends – Guilty Smurf Print

Look at this cute blue guy with his smug little smile. He’s way cuter than those other Smurfs with his little dimples. I just want to hug and squeeze him, and poke his little nose, and look at those droopy little hands all covered in – wtf? Is that blood? Oh sh*t this dude is crazy! No wonder I haven’t seen those Smurfs in 20 years. And, where the hell is Gargamel? Did this crazy, mass-murdering mofo off Gargamel? Leave it to Alex Pardee of Zero Friends to find the culprit that’s responsible for the disappearance of those loveable blue creatures we couldn’t stop watching on Saturday mornings.

Check out the Zero Friends site to read the full account of this little psycho’s jealous ride to insanity and, eventually, murder. And, while you’re there, email those guys to get this ish on a t-shirt ASAP!

We’re Still Here

So it’s been a while since we’ve gotten any new pieces on the site, but we have a huge lineup of short sleeves in our humble storage waiting to be worn. We figured we’d rather give it to you guys all at once then a couple at a time. We, ourselves, have been busy scouring the world in search of some of the illest international brands, Igor hiking through the Peruvian mountains while I took on the Land of the Rising Sun. If there is a place in the world where fashion is above all, it is in Tokyo. As for Fresh Industrie, warm weather is right around the corner here in NYC so we’ll get those tees up very soon, so keep it locked.

Bobby Fresh – Addicted To Fresh Tee

I like Bobby Fresh for the simple reason that it’s a brand that’s all about stayin’ fresh (just like FI), and because they captured our motto, “Mo money, mo checks, I’m addicted to FRESH,” in minty fresh lettering on a t-shirt emblazoned with the face of man that’s a pillar of freshness.

Beautiful Decay - Holiday Season Tees

You ever know somebody that was so damn good at everything that their perfection inspired jealousy and bred anger from deep within you soul causing you to feel shameful because they’re actually someone close to you? Well that pretty much sums up how we feel about Beautiful Decay every time they drop a series and the new holiday release is just more of the same – talented artists making incredible designs on exquisitely made garments.

bd_skwak_eat_more_tee.jpg

Skwak, the issue J headliner, is back with another version of his Koogai monsters that feed on the (mostly evil) energy of our world. Here they are jumbled up in a gathering of mass suffering at the hands of society. I feel like a wimp complaining about my sour stomach when these guys are violently vomiting from the repulsive rays of evil that seem to be the only meal they can get these days. Their pain is meant to express disgust at the world around us, and judging by their bulging little eyes things aren’t looking good. Check out Skwak’s site for some more impressive illustrations and toys.

bd_ayokato_pyramid_tee.jpg

Aya Kato is another featured cover artist who has concentrated her immense talents to produce an exclusive line of sixteen very cool t-shirts. One of my favorites is this Pyramid tee which depicts a gorgeous tower set in a landscape of stylized trees and clouds and cotton candy (??). Visit the Beautiful Decay site to see the rest of the line.

Staple Design – Sign of The Times

Comments (0)

staple-signs-of-the-times-tee.jpg

Whether it has your town, your team, or your favorite Ninja Turtle, the t-shirt has always been used to convey some kind of message about where you’re from, where you’re at, or what you represent. Taking that concept to a much broader scope, Staple Design brings us the “Sign of the Times” tee, which attempts to capture the essence (or at least some of it) of our society at large. Signs are powerful things, instantly recognizable and evoking deep meanings, so assembling such a varied group and presenting them with equal prominence makes for a very controversial design. Apparently the printer refused to print this at first because of the swastika, which is actually an ancient Asian religious symbol that predates the Nazis by a thousand years, so that just goes to show you what kind of effect this can have. So, if you’re looking to get into heated debates or just turn some heads, check the Jeff Staple blog for more info.
